National Seminar on Micro Finance in North- East India: The Dept.of Economic Organized a two day U.G.C. sponsored National Seminar in collaboration with a local NGO ‘SURAKSHA’ on 19th and 20th March 2013. The central theme of the National Seminar was “Micro Finance in North-East India”. Prof. Saundarjya Borborah, IIT Guwahati, Prof. N.C. Roy, Dept. of Economics, Rajib Gandhi University, Arunachal Pradesh and prof. Prafulla Hazarika, Head. Of the Dept. of Economics, Demow College was chaired the technical session as Resource Person. The seminar was inaugurated by Dr. Rafique Jaman, Vice chancellor Assam Rajib Gandhi University of Co-operative Management, Sivasagar.
National Seminar on Indian Drama: A U.G.C. Sponsored National Seminar on “ Indian Drama: Tradition and Transition” is Organized by Dept. of English and Dept. of Assamese, H.C.D.G. College, in collaboration with, Nitaipukhuri Sakha Sahitya Sabha, on 18th and 19th March 2012. The inaugural session is presided over by Dr. Sanjib Borgohain. Dr Pradip Jyoti Mahanta, HOD of Cultural Studies, Tezpur University delivers the key–note address. Dr. Mala Ranganathan, Dept. of English, NEHU, Meghalaya, Dr. Nigamananda Das, Prasanta Sarmah, Dr. Jugen Chetia Graced the seminar as Resource Person.
National Seminar on Ethnic Women: A U.G.C. Sponsored National Seminar on “Ethnic Women in Changing Scenario in North-East India” is organized by Women Cell, H.C.D.G. College, in collaboration with Asom Lekhika Sanstha, Nitaipukhuri Sakha, on 27th and 28th January 2012. The inaugural session is presided over by Dr. Sanjib Borgohain. Dr Ananda Bormudoi, eminent writer, educationist, former HOD of English, Dibrugarh University delivers the key –note address. Prof. Pura Tado, Dept. of Political Science, Rajib Gandhi University, Arunachal Pradesh graced the seminar as chief guest. Dr. M.M. Buragohain ex-foreign secretary, Dr. N.N. Hina, Dr. T. Mibang, Asst. Prof. School of Social Science, R.G. University Arunachal Pradesh, Mrs. Purabi Bormudoi, Sahitya Academi Award Winner Assamese novelist are also present in the inaugural session.
